If you saw our mini hat post, you got a sneak peak at this DIY. My friend was recently telling me about a photo booth hire Coventry company who were at a party she went to. Her pictures looked great and it inspired me to make my own background. Every party needs a cute photo booth- that designated spot in the room where your guests can take pictures, but also a backdrop that you created yourself. For this DIY, we took brown paper gift wrap and used it as the main element for the backdrop. Yes, the brown paper from the packages tied up with strings :). The rest is up to your creative mind. We wanted this to be Valentine’s Day-themed, so we doodled love sayings and quotes in the spirit of the holiday, the kind that would make anyone from a BBW Dating website light up if they saw it. We thought not only would it be fun, but it would be the perfect way to wrap up your special day with your other half. One of our friends wanted a way to surprise his girlfriend with a new gold heart necklace, and we suggested our DIY backdrop. He will be so happy when he tries it out on Valentine’s Day!

Find a bare wall to use for your back drop. Our wall faced a large window, to let in a lot of natural light. Natural light is key for getting those amazing photos. Tape sheets of gift wrap on the wall, making sure it’s high enough even for the tallest guest. You don’t want to see the edges of the backdrop when you take pictures.

Using a washable marker, begin drawing your speech bubbles, love notes, and sayings, making it as creative as you like. We chose a washable marker as to not have permanent ink bleed through the paper and damage the wall.
The great thing about this DIY is that your guests can write out their Valentine’s day thoughts throughout the day. Each person can add a saying or doodle to the backdrop; and once it’s filled, you will have created a photo booth that has an extra special touch.
Or you can keep it simple, like we did in the photo below, and draw think and speech bubbles that express the “love.” However you do it, this DIY photo booth is a cute addition to any party and will be the talk of the night! Happy DIY!
