FELT HOLIDAY PHOTO PROPS

Happy Holidays!  You know we love our DIY photo booths here on the blog, so here’s another one for ya’, just in time for party season.  For a fun, festive and not to mention easy prop for your holiday parties, we’ll show you how to make these merry little speech bubbles out of felt.  Yep, the kids can definitely take a stab at this one and coming up with silly (and not so silly) Christmas greetings will definitely be the talk of the party.
 For this DIY, you’ll need:
Begin by cutting your sheets in half.  One side will be used to create the speech bubble and the other will be used to create your letters.  I purchased these from my local fabric store.  It’s important to make sure you have stiff felt, as the regular flimsy felt won’t be sturdy enough in the end.
Draw a speech or think bubble in the felt and then cut it out.
If you prefer, use the letter stencils to mark out the letters on the felt.  I liked the organic look of freehand, so I used that instead.  After cutting, lay them on the speech bubble first, to position the letters the way you’d like before gluing them down.
Then, glue the letters down with hot glue.
Finally glue the wood dowel, centered on the back of the felt.
That’s it!  So simple, right?  Use these props to make your holiday photos even more festive!
